COVID-19

To Our Valued Clients, Healthcare Workers, and Associates: A Dedicationto Safety Amidst COVID-19

In these unprecedented times, the global impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19) has underscored the importance of collective efforts to curb its spread and mitigate its effects on our communities. At Ontaricare Health Services (OHS), the health and safety of our personnel, clients, workforce, and the public at large are paramount.

Our Commitment to Safety

OHS is unwavering in its commitment to implementing robust measures to safeguard the well-being of all stakeholders involved. Effective immediately and until further notice, we have instituted the following precautionary measures:

  1. Provision of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
    • All caregivers and personnel within our network have been equipped with appropriate PPE, including face masks and gloves. This ensures that our frontline workers are adequately protected while delivering high-quality services.
  2. Travel Restrictions:
    • Individuals returning from high-risk countries identified by the World Health Organization (WHO), such as China, Iran, Italy, Japan, South Korea, or any other specified region, will not be permitted at any OHS location or client site for a minimum period of 14 days from the date of return to Canada.
  3. Close Contact Protocol:
    • Those who have been in close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case are subject to a 14-day restriction from entering any of our branches or client locations. This precautionary measure aims to prevent potential transmission within our facilities.
  4. Remote Work for Symptomatic Staff:
    • Internal staff exhibiting cold or flu-like symptoms are directed to work remotely where possible. Moreover, they are encouraged to self-quarantine until they receive full medical clearance. This proactive step minimizes the risk of contagion within our organizational ecosystem.
  5. Suspension of Public Engagements:
    • Participation by internal personnel in tradeshows, seminars, conferences, job fairs, and other public functions is immediately suspended. This measure aligns with our commitment to reducing exposure and ensuring the safety of our workforce.
  6. Rescheduling Interviews for Health and Safety:
    • In-person interviews for potential associates who identify as having cold or flu-like symptoms will be rescheduled. Accommodations for virtual interviews will be explored, ensuring a thorough yet health-conscious recruitment process.
